The SALT Block

The SALT Block in Hickory is the home of the Catawba Science Center, the Hickory Museum of Art and the United Arts Council of Catawba County.

Statesville Civic Center

The Statesville Civic Center is a multi-purpose facility designed to be a landmark yet blend with the architectural heritage of Historic Downtown Statesville.  The interior is flexible to provide space for trade shows and community events. A porte cochere was included for convenience.

William Lenoir Middle School

The New William Lenoir Middle School is a 6th-8th grade Middle School designed with a core capacity of 750 and a student capacity of 600. Classroom room expansion for 150 additional students and an auditorium are located for future expansion within the overall design.

Hickory Community Theatre

This renovation updated the historic theatre while honoring its roots as the original City Hall in Hickory.

Moretz Mills

Moretz Mills was originally constructed in 1929 as a hosiery mill in Downtown Hickory. CBSA designed a complete restoration of the 88,000 SF complex for adaptive reuse as multi-tenant, multi-use space. The project was phased beginning with hazardous waste removal, selective demolition and restoration of shell items. Interior renovations include new plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems as well as updating all life safety systems to meet current accessibility standards.

Historic Piedmont Wagon Building

This building was built in 1889 and was integral to the history of Hickory. In the building’s earlier days, it was used to produce thousands of wagons. Piedmont Wagons were painted green and are still iconic.

Saint Luke's United Methodist Church

Statesville Fire Station #4

The project consists of two drive through bays, living quarters, offices, meeting spaces, fitness room, day room, kitchen and dining spaces are included in the design.   A mezzanine of approximately 1,551 SF is designed within the bay area to accommodate training exercises and storage. Exterior masonry walls surround a pre-engineered metal building structure.
